In July 2016, a remarkable event unfolded in Chengalpattu that left an enduring impact on the hearts of many young children. In a spirited collaboration, Cognizant successfully hosted a vibrant and inclusive competition that brought together around 50 children’s homes from the region. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as children competed in a wide array of indoor and outdoor games, showcasing not just their skills but their boundless enthusiasm and team spirit.

Among the many participants, the children from our orphanage stood out – not just for their performance, but for the determination and unity they demonstrated. With unwavering encouragement from Deepam Foundation, the children gave their best in every challenge, ultimately emerging as the overall champions of the event.

A key moment that uplifted everyone was when Mr. Sriram Muralidharan, the visionary founder of Deepam Foundation, took to the stage and sang for the children. His heartfelt performance brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of belonging – reminding them that they are seen, supported, and celebrated. Adding to the joy, Mr. Kumaran, a committed volunteer from Deepam, stepped in to personally distribute prizes, recognizing the hard work, perseverance, and sportsmanship displayed by every child.
